Online Theater | Social Theater | Gender violence | Community Talkback | Theater in Spanish

Date

March 2021

Location

Orlando, FL

Voices 2021 by Open Scene emerged from the first Exhibition of Epistolary Texts, held at the end of 2020. This powerful presentation is based on four real-life stories, selected from the letters received during the call. These letters were transformed into a performance that recounts the life-changing experiences of four courageous women.
Drug abuse, alcoholism, domestic violence, prostitution, abortion, and death—these are just some of the challenges these heroines faced and overcame. Their stories, presented by Open Scene, remind us of the strength and resilience found in the human spirit.
We all have something to share. Let’s unite our voices to spread a message of hope to the world.
Cast: Aurora Davidowitz, Gio Quezada, Lisa Morales, and Yazmín García
Concept and Direction: Thamara Bejarano
