Calling all creatives! We want your original, jaw-dropping illustrations for The Harlem Renaissance Experience—an immersive exhibit celebrating one of America’s most iconic cultural movements. A unique and unexpected experience commissioned by the Winter Park Library (@winterparklibrary) to Open Scene. This showcase needs your unique take on the era’s vibrancy through art, music, literature, and fashion.

Here’s the scoop:
1. Submission Format
High resolution JPEG or PNG

2. Artist Statement: 150 words artist statement describing how your artwork connects to or interprets the Harlem Renaissance. We encourage you to highlight the inspiration and creative process behind your piece.

3. Artist Bio: Let us know who you are. A brief 50 words bio will do the work.

4. Ownership & Permissions: All submissions must be the artist’s own, original work. By submitting your work, you grant Open Scene (and commissioning partners) permission to feature the artwork in promotional and marketing materials related to the event.

If selected, your piece will be part of the official art exhibition featured during the annual Heart & Soul event at the Winter Park Library on February 22nd, 2024.
